Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 23/18 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front will cross southern Victoria today as a high pressure system develops south of the Bight. The high will remain slow moving on Sunday and Monday before moving over Victoria during Tuesday as an upper level low pressure system approaches the far northwest of Victoria.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayAreas of morning fog and frost inland, locally severe in the north and east. Cloud increasing with scattered showers over the far southwest, extending to remaining southern and mountain districts during the late morning and afternoon. Isolated showers reaching the northern plains during the afternoon but remaining dry in the far northwest. Showers becoming isolated and contracting to the south during the evening. Snow showers developing above 1200 metres. Cool with light to moderate northwesterly winds shifting colder southwesterly from the west during the late morning and afternoon.Sunday 24 JuneMorning fog and frost patches inland. Isolated showers in the south, mainly near the coast and falling as snow above 1100 metres. Cool to cold and mostly cloudy with light to moderate southwesterly winds.Monday 25 JuneMorning fog and frost patches inland. Isolated showers in the south, mainly near the coast. Showers falling as snow above 1200 metres. Cool to cold and mostly cloudy with light to moderate southwesterly winds.Tuesday 26 JuneMorning fog and frost patches inland. Isolated showers along the exposed coast and in the far northwest. A cool to cold and mostly cloudy day with light and variable winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Saturday.Product IDV10310
