Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 23/18 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough of low pressure about southern coasts will weaken later today and be replaced by a ridge of high pressure on Sunday. A trough about the far west coast will remain near stationary and deepen on Sunday, then dissipate on Monday as the ridge becomes more dominant. A middle level disturbance will produce some showers in the northeast on Monday and along the eastern border Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayCold at first with areas of frost, mostly on and east of the ranges and in the northwest. Patchy morning fog. A slight to medium chance of showers about the southern agricultural area, West Coast district and far southwest of the North West Pastoral district, increasing to a medium to high chance of showers near southern and western coasts. Cool grading to mild in the far north, with light to moderate southwest to southeast winds.Sunday 24 JuneEarly frost patches about the South East districts and the pastoral districts. Areas of morning fog in the west. A slight chance of showers about the Murraylands, Riverland and the east of the Mid North. A slight to medium chance of showers near southern coasts, southern Eyre Peninsula, West Coast district and the southwest of the North West Pastoral district, increasing to a high chance of showers west of about Fowlers Bay. Cool, grading to mild in the far northeast. Mainly light southwest to southeasterly winds.Monday 25 JunePatchy morning fog about the northern agricultural area and in the west. A slight to medium chance of showers about Lower South East, Kangaroo Island, west of the West Coast district and the far southwest of a North West Pastoral district. Slight chance of a morning shower about the eastern slopes of the ranges in the Mid North and Flinders districts and a slight chance of showers developing in the far northeast. Cold at first with areas of frost about and east of the Flinders and Mount Lofty Ranges and in the northwest, then a cool day. Generally light southeast to northeasterly winds.Tuesday 26 June
A slight chance of showers about eastern districts, increasing to a medium to high chance of showers in the far northeast. Areas of morning fog about the South East districts and in the west. Cold at first with areas of frost then a cool day with mostly light winds..
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Tuesday are expected to be less than 1 mm over the northern agricultural area and in the west, increasing to 1 to 5 mm over the southern agricultural area, the far southwest of the North West Pastoral district and near the eastern border. Local falls of 5 to 10 mm are possible in the far northeast.
Wednesday until FridayCold mornings with areas of frost, becoming confined to the north and east on Friday. Dry on Wednesday and Thursday then a slight to medium chance of showers over the agricultural area and West Coast district on Friday, increasing to a high chance of showers southwest of a line Port Neill to Aldinga to Naracoorte. Cool days with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds turning northerly in the west and south during Wednesday then freshening in the west and south during Thursday ahead of a southwesterly change during Friday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Saturday.Product IDS10033
