India´s Pulse Duties Rise 10% for U.S.

DELHI - Jun 21/18 - SNS -- India included U.S. origin pulses in the list of commodities which will be subject to increased import duties in retaliation for the March 9 imposition by the United States of import duties on aluminum and steel from India.

Imports duties for U.S. origin whole and split kabuli and desi chickpeas will be increased to 70%, compared to 60% for other origins. The duty on U.S. lentils is also 10% higher at 40%.

India is the first country to include pulses in its list of product subject to retaliatory duties.
