Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 21/18 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A ridge of high pressure extends over inland Victoria as a weak cold front brushes the southwest coast. The cold front is expected to dissipate this evening while the ridge of high pressure will persist into Friday. Another cold front will reach southwest Victoria on Saturday morning before crossing southern parts during the day. A new ridge of high pressure is then forecast to strengthen across Victoria during Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayAreas of morning frost, locally severe in the north, and fog. Partly cloudy in the southwest with isolated showers possible about the coastal fringe. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Cool with light to moderate northwesterly winds.Friday 22 JuneAreas of morning frost and fog. Partly cloudy with isolated showers possible in the southwest. Cool with light to moderate northwesterly winds.Saturday 23 JunePartly cloudy day with isolated showers extending throughout during the day, mainly on and south of the ranges. Showers falling as snow about 1400 metres. Cool with light to moderate northwesterly winds shifting southwesterly during the day.Sunday 24 JuneMorning frost patches inland. Isolated showers in the south, mainly near the coast and falling as snow above 1300 metres.
