Spot Brown Mustard Collapses

PANAMA - Jun 15/18 - SNS -- Spot markets for mustard seed ended the week more in line with new crop prices during the past week, during the past week.

The most significant change was in brown mustard, with bids to Canadian growers plunging 17% from U.S. 28.50 per 100 pounds (cwt) to $23.60.

More importantly, the average spot bid for No 1 Canada farmers dressed mustard seed delivered processing plants dropped below new crop bids by the cost of carrying product into new crop shipping positions.
