Dry Beans Unchanged to Firmer

PANAMA - May 11/18 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets finished the week's trading unchanged to slightly firmer as offers from growers slip behind the short term needs of processors.

The U.S. spot index for beans gained 1.0 points on the week to finish at 123.8 on firmness in pinto and black beans.

Other major pulse price indices finished the week on a slightly firmer note. The Canadian pulse price index rose 0.8 points to finish the week at 147.2, while the world pulse price index gained 0.6 points to close at 131.9.
