Mustard Markets Finish Steady

PANAMA - May 11/18 - SNS -- Canadian mustard seed markets finished the week with prices paid to growers for farmers dressed product unchanged from the previous week.

However, week over week firmness in the Canadian dollar increased bid levels in U.S. dollar terms. Grower bids for farmer's dressed No 1 Canada brown mustard finished the week slightly higher at U.S. 29.01 cents per pound, versus 28.86 cents last week.

Prices paid to farmers for No 1 grade yellow mustard inched up from 27.3 to 27.44 cents per pound, while oriental advanced from 22.62 to 22.73 cents per pound.
