Brown Mustard Values Drop

PANAMA - May 4/18 - SNS -- Grower bids for Canadian mustard seed finished the week unchanged to lower as the focus of markets begin to switch from current to new crop shipping positions.

The change was most evident in brown mustard seed. Premiums over yellow and oriental eroded against thoughts of a major increase in seeded area and in the face of modest current crop demand.

In U.S. dollar terms, grower bids for farmer's dressed No 1 Canada brown mustard finished the week sharply lower at U.S. 28.86 cents per pound, versus 31.26 cents last week.
