Bigger Brazilian Bean Crop

PANAMA - Apr 13/18 - SNS -- Continued increases in the forecast size of Brazil's 2018 dry edible bean crop are keeping markets for black beans unsettled because of the prospect if increased competition for available demand.

Even so, the U.S. spot index for beans managed to inch up 0.1 points on the week to finish at 122.4.

Other major pulse price indices finished the week with an easier undertone. The Canadian pulse price index slipped 0.7 points to finish the week at 144.5, while the world pulse price index lost 1.4 points to close at 129.9.
