French Pea Export Outllok Worsens
PARIS - Apr 9/18 - SNS -- France's field pea exports remained focussed on European destinations in February, resulting in a drop shipment volumes, according from data available from Eurostat and Terres Univia.
Export shipments during the month totalled 13,385 metric tons (MT), up 10% from the 12,160 MT shipped the previous month, but down 67% from the 40,655 MT shipped the same month last year. So far this season, export clearances are down 15% from last year at 210,265 MT.
Belgium was the most important destination, taking 8,625 MT. Netherlands was the second most important destination at 2,515 MT, followed by Spain at 783 and Italy at 532 MT.
