Birdseeds Uncertain About USDA Reports
PANAMA - Mar 30/18 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets finished the week's trading on a mixed note in relatively light seasonal trade.
Markets were surprised by the USDA seeding intentions report, which forecast an overall decline in sunflower planting intentions despite relatively strong grower bids.
The report did not look at intentions for millet and other ingredients, but with farmers indicating they will reduce land in other grains and oilseeds, there is an increased risk land in crops like millet and milo will increase.
