Peas Holding Steady
PANAMA - Mar 16/18 - SNS -- Field pea markets were generally unchanged with offers from growers and processors remaining in line with the short term needs of exporters and other end users.
Canadian markets are helped by continued movement of peas to China and other bulk destinations. However, season to date movement remains significantly below last year because of limited demand from India.
Markets are starting to look forward to this year's seeding intentions reports. The USDA releases its numbers at the end of the month, with Canada following at the end of April.
