Few Changes in Field Peas
PANAMA - Mar 10/18 - SNS -- International field pea markets were little changed in relatively light trading activity, with the mood among U.S. processors buoyed by another USDA PL-480 food aid tender.
For shipment from origin during the last half of April, the tender is seeking offers of 4,200 metric tons (MT) of yellow split peas and 2,300 MT of lentils.
Continued tender volume helps keep splitting plaints working near capacity in the United States, creating opportunities for Canadian splitters on North American domestic markets.
