Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 20/18 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the southwestern Tasman Sea with a ridge along the New South Wales coast is very slowly moving east and a cold front/trough is expected to cross the state during Saturday and Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayMedium to high chance of morning showers along the northern half of the coast and adjacent ranges, mostly in the far north. Partly cloudy in the remainder. Daytime temperatures below average, tending above average in the far west. Northeast to southeasterly winds.Thursday 22 FebruaryFine apart from a few showers developing on the far north coast and adjacent ranges. Daytime temperatures below average in the northeast and near average elsewhere. East to northeast winds.Friday 23 FebruaryA few showers about the far north coast and adjacent ranges. The chance of a light shower across the southwest inland. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Daytime temperatures average to above average across most of the state, with the exception of the far northeast where they will be below average. Fresh north to northeast winds.Saturday 24 FebruaryShowers and isolated thunderstorms developing in most districts. Mostly fine in the far west. Daytime temperatures above average across most areas and well above average in the southeast. Fresh northerly winds turning southwest to southerly in the west and far southeast during the day.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Wednesday.Product IDN10031
