Mixed Finish For Chickpeas

PANAMA - Jan 5/18 - SNS -- International kabuli chickpea markets finished the week on a mixed note against conflicting pricing ideas among the various origins.

North American sellers maintained their defensive attitude toward pricing, reflecting solid domestic demand and lackluster grower participation because of unusually harsh winter weather.

Their attitude toward pricing also reflects the recent history of the crop, with values tending to set their season highs in the last half of the marketing year.
