France's Pea Export Outlook Worsens
PARIS - Dec 13/17 - SNS -- France's field pea exports continued to delcine in October because of the lack of movement to the Indian subcontinent, according from data available from Eurostat and Terres Univia.
Export shipments during the month totalled 8,720 metric tons (MT), down 20% from the 10,845 MT shipped the previous month, and down 24% from the 11,545 MT shipped the same month last year. So far this season, export clearances are down 30% from last year at 127,115 MT.
Belgium was the most important destination, taking 5,300 MT. Spain was the second most important destination at 1,015 MT, followed by Netherlands at 842 and Switzerland at 309 MT.
