MELBOURNE - Nov 24/17 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A broad area of low pressure will linger over Victoria today before contracting to eastern parts during Sunday. The low pressure trough will clear the State during Monday as a high pressure system moves from the the Bight towards southern Tasmania. The high will strengthen over the South Tasman Sea on Tuesday as another low pressure trough develops over the Bight. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayScattered showers and thunderstorms, mostly during the afternoon. A warm to hot and humid day with light to moderate north to northeasterly winds tending southwesterly over the far west during the evening. Afternoon seabreezes near the coast.Fire Danger - Generally High.Sunday 26 NovemberScattered showers and thunderstorms clearing in the west during the evening. Warm and humid with light to moderate northerly winds tending milder southwesterly from the west.Monday 27 NovemberDry and mostly sunny over the northwest. Isolated showers elsewhere contracting to the east during the afternoon. Isolated thunderstorms near the eastern ranges. Mild in the south but warmer to the north. Moderate southerly winds.Tuesday 28 NovemberIsolated showers in the east but fine elsewhere.
