Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 24/17 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A broad trough of low pressure over eastern parts of the State will move into the eastern states by evening. A high 1018 hPa over the Bight will gradually move southeastwards over the next few days. Another trough is expected to move across from the west mid to late next week.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayPatchy early morning fog south of Tarcoola. A slight chance of showers about the agricultural area, increasing to a medium to high chance of showers and isolated afternoon thunderstorms about the southwest of the Murraylands, eastern slopes of the Mount Lofty Ranges and South East districts, with thunderstorms more likely in the Lower South East. A slight to medium chance of showers and isolated afternoon and evening thunderstorms northwest of about Coober Pedy, increasing to a very high chance of showers and scattered thunderstorms near the northern border. Mild in the south grading to hot in the far north. Mainly moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, freshening near the coast during the afternoon.Sunday 26 NovemberPatchy early morning fog about the southern agricultural area. A slight chance of light showers about the southern agricultural area, most likely during the morning. A slight to medium chance of showers north of Woomera and west of Moomba and isolated thunderstorms northwest of about Coober Pedy. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, freshening near the coast during the afternoon with sea breezes. Mild near the coast grading to hot in the far north.Monday 27 NovemberA slight chance of light morning showers about the Lower South East coast and the south coast of Kangaroo Island. A slight to medium chance of showers north of about Coober Pedy and west of about Oodnadatta and isolated thunderstorms northwest of about Coober Pedy. Mild near southern coasts grading to hot in the north. Moderate southeasterly winds, tending northeasterly in the west, freshening near the coast during the afternoon.Tuesday 28 November
A slight to medium chance of showers and possible thunderstorms in the far north and far west. Warm near the coast grading to hot to very hot in the north. Moderate east to northeasterly winds, freshening in the west.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Tuesday are expected to be generally 2 to 5 mm, increasing to 5 to 10 mm about the South East districts and the far northwest. Falls of 10 to 30 mm are possible with thunderstorms.
Wednesday until FridayA slight to medium chance of showers and possible thunderstorms extending southeastwards over most parts during Wednesday and Thursday then contracting to the east and northwest during Friday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Saturday.Product IDS10033
