MELBOURNE - Nov 24/17 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A slow-moving high pressure system near New Zealand is extending a ridge along the New South Wales north coast and a broad low pressure trough lies across the western parts of the state. A little change in the synoptic pattern is expected over the forecast period. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayMedium chance of showers and the chance of thunderstorms over most inland districts. Partly cloudy along the coast, with medium chance of showers and the chance of thunderstorms along the far north coast. Daytime temperatures above average. North to northeasterly winds, tending westerly in the far west.Sunday 26 NovemberThe chance of showers and thunderstorms in all but the far west. Showers and thunderstorms most likely in the southeast and along the far north coast. Fine and partly cloud in the far west. Daytime temperatures above average, particularly in the south. North to northeasterly winds in the east, freshening along most of the coast, tending southwesterly in the far west.Monday 27 NovemberShowers and thunderstorms in all but the far west, most likely central and southeastern districts. Fine and partly cloudy over the far west. Daytime temperatures above average, tending near average in the northeast. East to northeasterly winds tending southerly across the southwest and south coast.Tuesday 28 NovemberThe chance of showers and thunderstorms in the east and north, most likely over the central and northern ranges.
