France's Pea Export Outlook Worsens

PARIS - Nov 10/17 - SNS -- France's field pea exports dropped in September because of the lack of significant movement to the Indian subcontinent, according from data available from Eurostat and Terres Univia.

Export shipments during the month totalled 10,845 metric tons (MT), down 88% from the 87,310 MT shipped the previous month, and down 77% from the 48,125 MT shipped the same month last year. So far this season, export clearances are down 30% from last year at 118,395 MT.

Belgium was the most important destination, taking 5,045 MT. Italy was the second most important destination at 3,345 MT, followed by Spain at 787 and Netherlands at 614 MT.
