Rabi Progress Unsettles Chickpeas
PANAMA - Nov 3/17 - SNS -- Medium and large caliber kabuli chickpea markets maintained their firm tone through the past week, while desi and small caliber kabuli markets were softer.
Desi chickpea markets were caught off-guard by the first official update for rabi season seeding progress in India.
Land in all pulses is up sharply over this time last year, jumping from 2.86 to 4.2 million hectares, for the second best start to the planting season on record.
