Mixed Finish in Edible Beans
PANAMA - Oct 20/17 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets finished the week's trading on a mixed note against tightening stocks in some exporting nations and harvest selling pressure from North American exporters.
Even so, the U.S. spot index for beans managed to be relatively unchanged on the week, inching up 0.3 points on the week to close at 126.1.
Other major pulse price indices finished the week on a mixed note. The Canadian pulse price index dropped 2.8 points to finish at 172.6, while the world pulse price index slipped 1.1 points to finish the week at 159.2.
