Bean Trade Remains Quiet

PANAMA - Sep 10/17 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets remained relatively quiet during the past week in the face of more positive thoughts about the yield potential of crops in key growing areas in North America

This was reflected in the U.S. spot index for beans which dropped 2.6 points on the week to close at 138.2.

Other major pulse price indices also finished the week on an easier note. The Canadian pulse price index dropped 1.7 points to finish at 185.1, while the world pulse price index was slipped 1 point to finish the week at 173.8.
