VANCOUVER - Aug 1/17 - STAT -- Canadian Red Lentil markets finished the 2016-17 marketing year with prices falling 22% below the recent three year average annual price on inter-dealer markets in that country.
The average trading level for Red Lentil was USD$27.35 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual market value of $34.84 during the previous three year period for machine dressed merchandise packed in bags delivered to Montreal.
Analysis of the monthly price pattern reveals the highest monthly average was $30.50 per cwt in November, while the lowest monthly average trading level was $24.38 per cwt in June.
