No 1 Eston Lentil Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/17 - STAT -- Canadian No 1 Eston Lentil markets finished the 2016-17 marketing year with prices offered to growers soaring 18% above the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for No 1 Eston Lentil was CDN$54.28 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual bid of $46.16 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $68.00 per cwt in December, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $40.20 per cwt in August.
