No 2 Eston Lentil Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/17 - STAT -- Canadian No 2 Eston Lentil markets finished the 2016-17 marketing year with prices offered to growers soaring 20% above the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for No 2 Eston Lentil was CDN$52.01 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual bid of $43.20 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $62.50 per cwt in January, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $37.40 per cwt in August.
