VANCOUVER - Aug 1/17 - STAT -- Canadian Small Yellow Pea markets finished the 2016-17 marketing year with prices offered to growers falling 5% below the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for Small Yellow Pea was CDN$323.94 per metric ton (MT), compared to an average annual bid of $339.57 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $360.54 per MT in June, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $270.98 per MT in September.
