Yield Fears For North American Beans

PANAMA - Jul 23/17 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets remain concerned about the status of crops in key growing areas in the United States mainly because of drought in the U.S. midwest.

This was reflected in the U.S. spot index for beans which strengthened during the week, jumped 4.6 points to 140.2.

The current North American weather market affected other major pulse prices indices. The Canadian pulse price index gained 2.7 points to finish at 182.9, while the world pulse price index rose 1.5 points to close the week at 171.9.
