MELBOURNE - Jul 22/17 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A persistent ridge of high pressure will remain over northern New South Wales for the next few days. A cold front will clip the south of the state on Sunday, and a more significant front is forecast to affect the south mid-week. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayClear, apart from the chance of a shower about the southern inland. Generally light winds, tending north to northwesterly in the south. Hazardous surf conditions along the coast.Sunday 23 JulyA few showers about the southwest slopes and Alps, falling as snow above 1400 metres. Dry and sunny elsewhere. Morning frost patches about the ranges and western slopes. Daytime temperatures above average in most areas, particularly in the northwest. West to northwesterly winds, fresh to strong in the southeast during the afternoon, especially about the ranges. Hazardous surf conditions along the coast during the morning.Monday 24 JulyA few showers about the southwest slopes and Alps, falling as snow above 1300 meters. Dry and sunny elsewhere. Morning frost patches about the ranges and western slopes. Daytime temperatures above average in most areas, particularly in the northwest. Westerly winds.Tuesday 25 JulyA shower or two about the far southern inland and Alps. Dry and sunny elsewhere. Areas of morning frost about the ranges and western slopes. Daytime temperatures well above average in most districts, particularly in the west. Freshening west to northwesterly winds.Wednesday 26 JulyThe chance of a shower about the southern inland, more likely about the southwest slopes and adjacent ranges. Snow about the Alps above 1200 metres. Daytime temperatures well above average, particularly in the north.
