MBR Extension Surprising

DELHI - Jul 6/17 - SNS -- Canadian pulse markets were surprised to learn they extension which allows for pulses to be fumigated on arrival in India with methyl bromide only cover cargoes with a bull of lading date on or before September 230, 2017.

By contrast, cargoes shipped from the United States and France can be fumigated on arrival in India for all consignments with bills of lading dated on or before December 31, 2017.

It is not immediately known why the three countries received different treatment from India's agriculture department.
