MELBOURNE - May 27/17 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system over the State today will move east ahead of a cold front expected to sweep through New South Wales on Sunday. A short lived ridge of high pressure will extend in the wake of the front on Monday, before another cold front moves through on Tuesday. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayMostly fine and sunny apart from the slight chance of showers on the north coast and the far southern inland. Early frost patches about the Tablelands, and areas of morning fog in the east. North to northwesterly winds.Sunday 28 MayModerate chance of showers over the southeastern inland increasing to high chance on the Alps with snow showers likely above 1000 metres late. Slight chance of showers or a thunderstorm on the northern ranges and the southern inland and Alps later. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. West to northwesterly winds turning southwesterly in the west.Monday 29 MayEarly showers on the western slopes of the southern and central ranges, contracting south and falling as snow above about 900 metres. Early frost on the east of the southern ranges. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere.Tuesday 30 MayShowers over the southern inland, tending more likely about the western slopes of the southern ranges, and falling as snow above about 1000 metres. Mostly dry and partly cloudy elsewhere.
