Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 24/17 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A weak low pressure system and associated upper level disturbance near the eastern border of the State will move to the east of the State by midday today. A cold front will extend over southern parts of the State late this evening or early Wednesday morning. A high pressure system will develop near the Bight on Wednesday and is likely to remain stationary through to the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayA chance of showers or rain with possible early morning thunderstorms over the North East Pastoral district, contracting eastwards and clearing by midday. A slight to medium chance of showers persisting over the agricultural area, increasing to a high to very high chance over the southern agricultural area late evening associated with a cold front. Possible early fog patches. Possible small hail in the Lower South East districts late evening. Cool to mild, grading to warm in the far northeast. Mainly moderate southeast to southwesterly winds, strengthening near southern coasts late evening.Wednesday 26 AprilA slight to medium chance of showers over the agricultural area, West Coast and the south of the Pastoral districts, more likely about southern coasts and in the Lower South East. Possible small hail and thunderstorms in the South East districts early morning. Cool to cold in the south, grading to mild in the far northeast. Moderating southwest to southerly winds.Thursday 27 AprilA slight to medium chance of showers over the southern agricultural area and near remaining coasts. Cool to cold with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Friday 28 April
A slight to medium chance of showers over the southern agricultural area and near remaining coasts. Cool with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Friday are expected to be generally 2 to 10 mm over the southern agricultural area, and associated with the rain over the North East Pastoral district this morning. Less than 2 mm over remaining areas. Localised heavier falls of 10 to 15 mm are possible about parts of the Lower South East coast, and northern Gulfs.
Saturday until MondayThe slight to medium chance of showers at times over the southern agricultural area, with areas of cloud at times further north. Cool to mild with mainly light southwest to southeasterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Tuesday.Product IDS10033
