PANAMA - Apr 21/17 - SNS -- Canadian farmers intend to massively reduce the amount of mustard seed this spring, indicating area could plunge from 525,000 to 390,000 acres, according to Statistics Canada's seeding intentions estimate.

Farmers in Alberta say they will reduce seeded area from 135,000 to 105,000 acres, while growers in Saskatchewan intend to seed 285,000 acres, down from last year's 390,000.
