Weaker Tone in Pulse Markets

PANAMA - Apr 8/17 - SNS -- International dry edible bean and pulse markets exhibited some weakness during the past week, against increased efforts by processors and exporters in Argentina to secure new sales.

This was reflected in the performance of the pulse price indexes. The U.S. spot index for beans eased on the week, slipping 0.9 to 146.1 points.

Other pulse markets resumed their recent down trend. The Canadian pulse price index was fell 2.1 points at 181.6, while the world pulse price index dropped 1.2 points to finish at 186.1.
