Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 27/17 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A ridge of high pressure will extend across Victoria from the Bight during Tuesday. A cold front will enter southwest Victoria Wednesday afternoon, crossing the remainder of the State Wednesday night, leaving a cool southerly airflow across the State on Thursday. A weak ridge of high pressure will extend over northern Victoria on Friday, then a weak cold front will pass just south of Victoria Friday night.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayLocal early morning fogs then a fine day apart from isolated light showers about the exposed coast during the morning. A mild and mostly sunny day with light to moderate west to southwest winds.Fire Danger -  High over the northeast, low to moderate elsewhere.Wednesday 29 MarchEarly fogs over Gippsland. Fine, warm and mostly sunny elsewhere, but cloud increasing and scattered showers extending from the far southwest during the afternoon, reaching central districts during the evening, but remaining dry over the far north. Moderate to locally fresh north to northwesterly winds shifting cooler, gusty southwesterly.Thursday 30 MarchScattered showers for southern and mountain areas, gradually easing during the day. Dry and partly cloudy in the north. A mild day with moderate to fresh south to southwesterly winds.Friday 31 MarchIsolated showers over southern and mountain districts. Dry and mostly sunny over the north. Cool to mild with light to moderate southwest to southerly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Tuesday.Product IDV10310
