Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 27/17 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough in the far northeast corner will clear the State this evening. A ridge of high pressure over the Bight will remain stationary until a cold front moves over the State on Wednesday. A high pressure system will then develop in the Bight on Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayFine with moderate southwesterly winds, tending moderate to fresh westerly in the far south and southerly in the north.Tuesday 28 MarchThe slight chance of a shower about Kangaroo Island, the Lower South East coast, and the far south of Eyre, Yorke and Fleurieu Peninsulas. Fine elsewhere. Cool near southern coasts and ranges, mild otherwise in the south grading to hot in the far northeast. Moderate westerly winds in the south, fresh near the coast, tending northwesterly during the day. Winds tending light to moderate south to southeasterly in the north.Wednesday 29 MarchA medium to high chance of showers over the southern agricultural area, grading to a very high chance over southern Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East and to a slight chance over the West Coast and northern agricultural areas. Thunderstorms possible over coastal waters south of Kangaroo Island in the evening. Cool near southern coasts and ranges, mild otherwise in the south grading to hot in the far northeast. Moderate to fresh northwesterly winds in the south, tending light southwest to southeasterly in the north, ahead of a fresh to strong southwesterly change extending throughout during the day.Thursday 30 MarchA slight chance of showers over the southern agricultural area and near the coasts, more likely near southern coasts and the southern Mount Lofty Ranges. Cool to mild throughout with moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds.Friday 31 March
The slight chance of showers near western coasts and over the southern agricultural area, mostly near the coasts. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh south to southeasterly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Friday are expected to be up to 2 mm over the agricultural area and over the West Coast district, increasing to 2 to 5 mm over the southern agricultural area, with isolated falls of 5 to 10 mm near southern coasts, the southern Mount Lofty Ranges and in the Lower South East district.
Saturday until MondayThe slight chance of showers near western coasts and over the southern agricultural area, mostly near the coasts. Mild with moderate to fresh southeasterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Tuesday.Product IDS10033
