Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Mar 26/17 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure trough lies over western New South Wales and cold fronts are moving to the south. A strong cold will cross the south of state on Thursday and the trough will move off shore and deepen and a low will form within it. The trough and the low are expected to move rapidly away form the coast during Friday as a high pressure system moves southwest of the Bight extending a ridge along the coast behind the front.
Forecast for the rest of MondayMedium chance of showers with the chance of thunderstorms in the southern inland extending to the coast later in the day. Medium chance of morning showers on the far north coast. Mostly sunny elsewhere. East to northeasterly winds, tending hot northwesterly ahead of a gusty southwesterly change in the far west.Fire Danger -  Severe: Southern Riverina. Very High: Northern Riverina, South Western and the Far Western.Tuesday 28 MarchShowers in the southeast with the slight chance of a thunderstorm in the northeast with little if any rain. Southerly winds in the south and far west, tending east to northeasterly in the remainder.Wednesday 29 MarchThe chance of a shower over the northeastern half, more likely over the ranges. The chance of a thunderstorm over the northeast. North to northeasterly winds in the northeast, tending southerly in the west.Thursday 30 MarchShowers over much of the eastern two thirds, tending to rain about and east of the ranges. The chance of a thunderstorm in the northeast. Southwesterly winds extending over all but the far northeast.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Monday.Product IDN10031
