Easing Tone in World Beans

PANAMA - Mar 5/17 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets finished the week's trading on a generally easier note.

This was reflected in the performance of the pulse price indexes. The U.S. spot index for beans, slipped 0.2 points on the week to finish at 147.5 points.

Other pulse markets ended the week on weaker note. The Canadian pulse price index fell 7.2 points to finish at 187.3 for its sixth week over week decline. This had an impact on the world pulse price index, which dropped 1.9 points to finish at 185.4. The world pulse price index has been trending lower since peaked at the end of December.
