MELBOURNE - Feb 26/17 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A trough of low pressure extends from the north over the central inland parts of the State and is expected to move over the far west by Monday. A slow moving high pressure system in the southern Tasman Sea, with a trough off the NSW coast, expected to persist for much of the week. Forecast for the rest of SundayShowers and isolated thunderstorms over the northeast half. Fine and mostly sunny in the southwest. Southeast to northeast winds.Monday 27 FebruaryShowers on the coast, ranges and western slopes, mostly north from the Illawarra. Isolated thunderstorms over the northern half of the coast and ranges, and the northern inland in the afternoon. Rainfall possibly heavy at times along northern parts of the coast and adjacent ranges. Fine and mostly sunny in the southwest. Southeast to northeast winds.Tuesday 28 FebruaryShowers on the coast, ranges and western slopes, mostly north from the Illawarra. Isolated thunderstorms over the northern half of the coast and ranges. Fine and mostly sunny in the far west. Southeast to northeast winds.Wednesday 1 MarchShowers on the coast, ranges and western slopes, mostly north from the Illawarra. Isolated thunderstorms over the northern half of the coast and ranges.
