MELBOURNE - Feb 25/17 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A trough of low pressure extends from the north over the central inland parts of the state. The inland trough should move slowly towards the west and a high is then expected to become established over the southern Tasman Sea today where it will remain for the week. Another trough of low pressure should develop off the New South Wales coast on Sunday and is expected to persist through much of the week. The inland trough should be over the far west of the state by Monday. Forecast for the rest of SundayShowers and isolated thunderstorms over the northeast half. Possible heavy falls along the coastal fringe from the Illawarra to the Mid-North coast. Fine and mostly sunny in the southwest. Southeast to northeast winds.Monday 27 FebruaryShowers on the coast, ranges and western slopes, mostly north from the Illawarra. Isolated thunderstorms over the northern half of the coast and ranges. Fine and mostly sunny in the southwest. Southeast to northeast winds.Tuesday 28 FebruaryShowers on the coast, ranges and western slopes, mostly north from the Illawarra. Isolated thunderstorms over the northern half of the coast and ranges. Fine and mostly sunny in the far west.
