Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 25/17 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high is south of the Bight and a cold front is crossing the southern Tasman Sea. A trough of low pressure extends from the north over the central inland parts of the state. The high is expected to move east across Tasmania today in the wake of the front and the inland trough should move slowly towards the west. The high is then expected to become established over the southern Tasman Sea on Sunday where it will remain for the coming week. Another trough of low pressure should develop off the New South Wales coast on Sunday and is expected to persist through much of the week. The inland trough should be over the far west of the state by Monday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers along the far north coast. More frequent shower activity over the southern and central parts of the coast, adjacent ranges and western slopes. The chance of storms along central parts of the coast, with isolated thunderstorms over the ranges and western slopes. Severe thunderstorms in the Central West and North West.Sunday 26 FebruaryShowers and isolated thunderstorms over the northeast third. Fine and mostly sunny in the southwest. Southeast to northeast winds.Monday 27 FebruaryShowers on the coast, ranges and western slopes, mostly north from the Illawarra. Isolated thunderstorms over the northern half of the coast and ranges. Fine and mostly sunny in the southwest. Southeast to northeast winds.Tuesday 28 FebruaryShowers on the coast, ranges and western slopes, mostly north from the Illawarra. Isolated thunderstorms over the northern half of the coast and ranges. Fine and mostly sunny in the far west. Southeast to northeast winds.Wednesday 1 MarchShowers on the coast, ranges and western slopes, mostly north from the Illawarra. Isolated thunderstorms over the northern half of the coast and ranges.
