Weather Situation A high pressure system moves eastward over the Bight as a weak cold front clears the east of the State. The high will continue to drift slowly eastward to be located over the Tasman Sea by Sunday, extending a ridge to another high pressure system developing south of the Bight. Forecast for the rest of FridayCloudy in the south, generally clear in the north. Moderate to fresh southerly winds.Saturday 25 FebruaryDry, warm and sunny over the north. Mild and partly cloudy in the south with drizzle patches contracting to Gippsland during the afternoon. Moderate to locally fresh south to southeasterly winds.Fire Danger - Moderate to high.Sunday 26 FebruaryFine after morning drizzle patches in Gippsland. Warm and sunny inland with light to moderate east to southeasterly winds. Milder near the coast with fresh to locally strong east to southeasterly winds.Monday 27 FebruaryFine after early fog patches in Gippsland. A warm and mainly sunny day with a light to moderate east to northeasterly wind and afternoon coastal seabreezes.Tuesday 28 FebruaryIsolated showers about the ranges. Otherwise mostly sunny.
