French Pea Exports Remain Slow
PARIS - Feb 15/16 - SNS -- Field pea shipments from France were relatively steady in December, according to data from the Platinum edition of STAT.
Export shipments during December totalled 7,267 metric tons (MT), up 15% from the 6,325 MT shipped the previous month, and up 22% from the 6,015 MT shipped the same month last year. This helped lift season to date movement to a 22% increase over last season at 194,922 MT.
Belgium was the most important destination during the month with shipments of 3,316 MT, followed by Italy at 2,166 and Netherlands at 445 MT.
