Easier Undertone in Dry Beans

PANAMA - Dec 23/16 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets finished the week's trading on an easier note, as markets shifted into holiday mode. Activity should remain limited through the first week of January.

This was reflected in the U.S. spot index for beans, which slipped 0.7 points on the week to finish the week at 149.8.

Other pulse markets ended the week continued firm, with the Canadian and world pulse price indexes maintaining their recent uptrend.

After rising for 12 consecutive weeks, the Canadian pulse price index slipped 0.6 points to finish at 201.6 points. The world pulse price index also ended its upward run, dropping 6.7 points to finish at 197.
