Birdseeds Ignore StatsCan Report
PANAMA - Dec 10/16 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient finished the week's trading unchanged to easier in seasonally light business activity.
Canaryseed, confection sunflower and white proso millet markets were largely unchanged, while oil-type sunflower ended the week on an easier note in sympathy with canola and vegetable oil markets.
Markets were unaffected by Canada's official production estimate for canaryseed, with participants believing production is closer to last year than the 19% reduction reported by Statistics Canada.
