French Pea Exports Falter
PARIS - Dec 8/16 - SNS -- Field pea shipments from France were down sharply in October as exports outside the European Union sank, according to data compiled by Terres Univia.
Export shipments during October totalled 11,393 metric tons (MT), down 76% from the 48,145 MT shipped the previous month, but up 78% from the 6,490 MT shipped the same month last year.
Belgium was the most important destination in October with shipments of 6,210 MT, followed by Italy at 4,205 and Germany at 400 MT.
