Better Than Expected Canada Exports

PANAMA - Nov 19/16 - SNS -- International chickpea markets maintained their firm tone through the past week, helped by tight supplies in key exporting regions in front of next year's harvests in India and Mexico.

Short term supply fundamentals are getting some help from progress with Argentina's harvest. Roughly a third of the crop is now in the bin.

So far, the quality is rated fair to good. But processors continue to fret over weather conditions for the balance of the crop.
