Few Changes in Dry Beans

PANAMA - Nov 18/16 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets posted a mixed finish during another week which featured relatively light end-user buying interest.

Even so, the U.S. spot index for beans inched up 1.6 points on the week to finish the week at 150.7, helped by ongoing demand from Mexico and movement into domestic markets.

The finish for dry edible beans was also contrary to other pulses, which finished with attitudes ranging from friendly to bullish.

For the tenth week in a row, strength in other pulses helped lift the world pulse price index 2.2 points to finish at 195.8. At the same time, the Canadian index rose 3.7 points to finish at 190.1 for the eighth week over week increase.
