Venezuela Eliminates Some Import Duties
WASHINGTON - Nov 16/16 - SNS -- Venezuela has eliminated import duties on a selected group of agricultural products to help address domestic shortages.
Until October 27, 2017, imports duties and valued added taxes will be zero for pulses imported under HS Codes 0713.33.11 (black bean seed), 0713.33.19 (black bean other), 0713.40.90 (lentils other) and 0713.10.90 (peas other).
While lowering landed costs for pulses, the change may not have a significant impact on trading volumes because of other problems, including access to foreign exchange.
