Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 23/16 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high centred near Kangaroo Island will move eastwards to be over New South Wales by Monday night. A broad trough of low pressure will move over South Australia on Tuesday and Wednesday. A new high will develop over the Bight later on Wednesday then move slowly east. Another trough will move over the State on Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayFine. A cool evening with light southeast to northeasterly winds.Monday 24 OctoberFine. Early frost patches over the Flinders, Mid North, Riverland, Murraylands and southeast districts. Mild in the southeast, warm to hot elsewhere. Light to moderate northeast to northerly winds, freshening in the west, ahead of a milder southerly change developing in the far west during the evening.Tuesday 25 OctoberThe slight chance of patchy rain developing southwest of Roxby Downs to Renmark increasing to medium to high chance over the West Coast, Eyre Peninsula, Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East. Possible thunder with showers west of about Kingscote. Mild in the southeast, warm to hot elsewhere. Moderate to fresh northerly winds, with a milder south to southwesterly change in the far west, extending eastwards during the day.Wednesday 26 OctoberThe slight chance of rain south of about Coober Pedy to Broken Hill, contracting east during the day. Possible thunder parts of the Pastoral, West Coast and Flinders districts. Slight chance of showers about the Lower South East and Kangaroo Island. Cool with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Thursday 27 October
Fine apart from the slight chance of showers about southern coasts. Cool to mild with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Thursday are expected to be less than 2 mm, possibly reaching 2 to 5 mm in the west.
Friday until SundaySlight chance of showers developing in the far northwest on Friday then extending east to most areas during Saturday and Sunday and increasing to medium chance about the agricultural areas on Sunday. Warm on Friday and Saturday with light to moderate northerly winds, tending cooler southwesterly on Sunday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Monday.Product IDS10033
